Catholic Day at the Capital
Please join Catholics from across the state at the Fourth Annual Catholic Day at the Capitol, on Wednesday, March 10. (As you may know, Catholic Day was originally scheduled for February 25, but changed due to a two-week recess taken by the legislature to work on the budget.) One of the bills we will be supporting that day is HB 1155, the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act, which prohibits abortion based on the race or sex of the unborn child.
Some exciting news:
- Both Atlanta bishops will serve as “Chaplain of the Day” on March 10 - Archbishop Wilton Gregory in the Georgia Senate and Bishop Luis Zarama in the Georgia House of Representatives
- Members of the Priests’ Council have been invited to participate
- We expect at least 50+ Catholic School students to attend
For complete details, please see the attached flyer. The event is free, but advance registration is requested. To register, please visit: http://archatl.com/offices/communications/catholicday.php
Let’s make the Fourth Annual Catholic Day at the Capitol the best ever!
